I picked up my 2013 Touareg! Thank you to Dave Estes for making it a great experience. I highly recommend Cook VW, and will continue to buy from Cook VW for all of my VW needs. I have owned many brands including Mercedes and Porsche, this dealer by far is the best I have ever worked with. Thanks again, and I love my Touareg TDI!

I brought my 2008 Volkswagen Passat in for its 60K servicing. Herman Cook treats their customers really well. They have great follow up both during the day the work is being done and after to make sure all was good. Their shuttle service was very good and on time. They picked me up at the train station, on time and very friendly.

Bought VW 2013 Tiguan and had an excellent experience. Our sales experience was professional and excellent. The finance manager was very efficient and we were out the door in less than 30 minutes! Great job by Herman Cook!

Found our used 2012 GTI on Autotrader at Herman Cook, just days before going to another dealer for an advertised GTI. Annie MacPherson was friendly, professional and knowledgeable; everything you could ever ask for in a sales rep! She was very thorough in the test drive and showed me things I hadn't seen before after driving other GTI's. I felt she worked on our behalf to get to an agreeable price, and I still feel very satisfied in the car and deal. Katy, and I believe Dan also took great care of us in getting the paperwork settled. Once it was all settled Annie was great in walking us through the features on the car and getting phones paired with the car. I feel like Herman Cook is the perfect sized dealership in which service feels more individually tailored and less like just another sale. Even though I drive by probably 3 other VW dealers betweem here and Encinitas I would definitely make the trip due to the warm welcome my wife and I received.

I brought my car in to replace my thermostat, even though it was replaced last year. unfortunately the warranty for the part ended 12 days before I had my current problem. Thankfully Alan Joslin, who has always taken care of me, put in a call to see if VW would extend the warranty for the part. He has always helped me whenever I need service or standard maintinence and it is that kind of customer care that will keep me coming back to Herman Cook VW Encinitas

Hello Dave, Alan, Sergio, you are the five star team along with your heart of the house technicians. You can review all the past evaluations, they are all the same. Quality to the max. Dave per our conversation yesterday. Please pass on my comments regarding the very dull waiting area. There is a common saying, "thinking out of the box", my comment is what box. Here is the challenge, when one sits in the waiting area, all you should see are smiles because it stands out with character. Avail yourself of your heart of the house team to provide the ideas necessary to create your one of a kind waiting room. If fact, find a new name for the room. Go for it.

I went in for my 80K service May 3. I had to drop my car off earlier than my appointment, but Alan graciously took it in early. I also asked if it could be done by a certain time because my husband needed the car. They did have it ready, which was very helpful. Yesterday, May 10, my husband brought in the car again and we ended up having additional service done on it. Burned out headlight and to check on soft brakes. While we were there technician noticed excessive wear on the tires and suggested we check the alignment -- it needed alignment. My question is, why would the alignment not be a part of the 80K check up? (you might suggest that to VW of America) I guess they can rotate the tires without checking alignment. Brakes needed replacement for a cracked vacuum hose. Said they told me about this in August. I do remember Alan ordering a part for me around that time in response to a check engine light issue I reported, however, I don't recall that the part was related to the brakes. When I came back (a few months later) to get the special order part installed, for some reason Sergio and I decided (together) not to install it. I can't remember whether they no longer had the part or whether it was going to take too long to replace it -- but since my check engine light was not on, I think it appeared the problem was gone. If I thought the part was a safety issue (such as brakes) I would not have "declined" installation. I'm glad my husband noticed the brakes being soft and brought it back in. I do rely on your staff to help me keep my car in good working order, that is why I come back every 5000 miles. Alan and Sergio have both been very helpful and I hope they will never hesitate to bring something to my attention that should be fixed.
