Herman Cook VW celebrated its 50th Anniversary in business on Saturday July 22, 2017 at the dealership in Encinitas, California.
Over 55 classic Volkswagens were on display for the public to admire.
The event was hosted by the owner and president of Herman Cook VW, Dennis Cook.
Raffle prizes were given out, including a toy battery-powered VW bus for the little ones to enjoy.
Hundreds of guests attended from vintage VW enthusiasts to VW owners and everyone in between!
Awards were given for various categories, including youngest driver, oldest driver, dealership favorite, oldest VW, and more!
The Herman Cook team including Assistant General Manager Connor Cook, General Sales Manager Dan Belt, and Owner Dennis Cook were there to congratulate the winners.
All proceeds from the raffle drawing went to the Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA in Encinitas.
The event helped demonstrate the historical significance in Volkswagans of yesterday and today and what Volkswagen means to the local community who have grown up with them.
We are extremely grateful for the community support we received from Volkswagen enthusiasts and current VW owners to make this milestone event possible.
Since opening in 1967, we’ve seen many generations of customers come to our dealership and they’ve become like family to us throughout the decades. We look forward to continuing to offer and service their VW’s for many more years to come!
