The new 2022 Volkswagen Golf GTI and 2022 Golf R are very similar in many respects and can be differentiated from each other by looking at the front bumper where you can see an R-specific bumper with splitter and side intakes that help guide cooling air. When it comes to performance, the 2022 Volkswagen Golf GTI and 2022 Golf R are different but they both offer powerful and exciting performance on the road. 

The 2022 Volkswagen Golf GTI will come with a standard six-speed manual transmission and offer an available seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
