Thank you all for joining us on Saturday as we sponsored the Surfing Madonna Beach Run in Encinitas. We all made history again as we retained last year’s title of being the Guinness World Record’s “Largest Race on Sand” at our Low Tide Beach Run!
Nearly 3,500 runners from 17 states and 6 different countries participated in the 5K, 10K, & 12K run. Guinness World Record’s “Largest Race on Sand” is defined as the most amount of people to race on the sand simultaneously. We couldn’t be more proud of this accomplishment right here in Encinitas, California!
There were over 360 volunteers on race weekend that were there to pump up and help hydrate all types of runners, both humans and Animals alike. There was even a rumor that Jessica Alba was participating!
The Surfing Madonna Beach Run was a huge success for runners, volunteers, and spectators alike. It started at stunning Moonlight Beach in Encinitas and participants went up the coast to Beacons Beach and Ponto Beach before heading South to Swami’s Beach.
Every runner received an intricate carved wooden medal, race shirt, race mug, and tons of sponsor treats at the Finish Line😎
The run was Sold Out on race day and the energy was HOT! For more information on the Surfing Madonna Beach Run and their Oceans Project efforts to protect our coastline click here.
Thanks to all of you who stopped by to see us and show your support to Herman Cook VW. We are proud to be part of such an active and thriving community here in Encinitas!
