I usually feel like a valued customer at this dealership. The service manager was great, and they took care of my car.
This visit didn't get 5 stars because the price I was charged was substantially more than the price I was quoted on the phone, and the cashier didn't have a professional or empathetic demeanor. I was also quoted a $30 off coupon on the phone. My usual service advisor, who quoted me, was not working the day I had service.

The service staff was very friendly. They listened to me describe my vehicle issues and gave me options on repair. They repaired my car within one day and also cleaned and washed it. I'm very satisfied with Herman Cook's Service Team.

I had an absolutely amazing experience here! Annie helped me throughout the entire process, and she was seriously amazing. She made everything easy and stress-free, and I really appreciated how transparent everyone was throughout the process. I never felt pressured to add anything extra to my car or make a decision I wasn’t comfortable with. The whole experience was honestly great from start to finish. I would 100% recommend coming here, especially if you want a dealership that is honest, transparent, and truly cares about their customers!

Transparent pricing, no-pressure sales tactics, works with you to purchase the car. Try not to finalize the deal too close to closing so that Finance can go home
Routine maintenance service was performed along with an inspection of the vehicle to eliminate any other potential problems. Daytime running lightbulb was replaced as requested. However the replacement of a broken reflector will require another visit which is disappointing since the request was made at the same time the appointment was requested a week before the service.

I had to have my car towed in because it suddenly stopped running. They promptly determined it was a bad alternator and had it repaired within one day. A great Customer Service from manager, Erik.

I would not take my car anywhere else. They do great work and are HONEST. The company is closed on Sundays for their employees to enjoy the day with their families. They are flexible (I needed to change my appointment time) and friendly. The location is great too because one can walk to restaurants and all types of businesses. My car is always clean and perfect. They get it done quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend this dealership. When the time comes for a new car, I will only buy from Herman Cook because of the service department!

I just got an ID Buzz from Hermann Cook, and it was a great experience. Bill Kwait let me check out the vehicles before the sales area was open because I was in the area, and Annie McPherson was a joy to work with. Alfredo Alonso in finance was also incredibly personable. It was a great experience, and I look forward to working with them again in the future!

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. My car was almost ready at the said time. In MPI, they didn’t check the wipers which were broken, so not a through MPI done.
The EPC light came on while we were on the freeway. I drove on to Herman Cook VW and Mr. Sanchez took our car in right away to analyze the issue. Turned out to be a “one time misfire”. Has not re-occured since. We were very grateful they got on it quick and there was no charge. We will come back to Herman Cook VW when we need service again.

Unlike other dealerships, I was invited inside by Ricardo and informed me on the whole process. His technician found a small leak at the turbo air pipe and cleaned it as part of my 10,000 mile checkup. Will schedule a follow-up visit in a couple of weeks to verify that cleaning resolved my problem.

My 2016 Golf was serviced at Herman Cook for an intake manifold failure, a carbon cleaning, and an oil change. The manifold was replaced under the Ca PZEV at no cost to me. Service Consultant Ricardo Sanchez was excellent; very professional and excellent communication. I highly recommend Herman Cook VW Service!

Easy to make appointment. Service team got right on it. Work completed on time. When I picked up my car they had washed it! I always have my car serviced at Cook VW
I brought my GTI in for a 5K oil change which I was planning to pay for since the warranty covers 10K service intervals, not 5K oil changes. I was pleasantly surprised to find to find I was coincidentally due for my 2 year warranty service which meant my service was covered. I didn’t realize the service was 20K or 2 years. My odometer was only at 15K.
Anyways they did the full 2 year service and checked my tire tread depth which I was concerned about since summer tires wear faster. My service advisor told they are good for another 5K ... Read More Google - May 15, 2026
My experience with the dealership was fantastic. The Team was knowledgeable and transacted the deal in a family, friendly manner.
After calling 62 times, I finally was able to connect with Alfredo Alonso and within 2 mins I received the email with my bill of sale. I think it is ludicrous that the phone lines were busy from 8:30 am to 12:00 on a Monday. Thank you Alfredo!
The Bluetooth problem was never resolved, wanted 250$ for updating firmware which really should be free
